About MeHi! Before learning about the program and my experience, allow me to introduce myself and tell you why I decided to apply to this program. My name is Brenden Mueller, and I am a fourth year Mechanical Engineering student from Baltimore, MD.
Studying abroad has always been a dream of mine. Freshman year in E101, I wrote a letter to my future self with three goals that I wanted to accomplish before graduating: participate in Undergraduate Research, have an internship at a Fortune 500 company, and study abroad in Europe. By completing this program, I am proud to say that I have achieved all three goals. Having never left the United States before, I was quite nervous yet excited for this experience. I was looking forward to the once in a lifetime experiences, relationship building, networking opportunities, and personal growth... Words cannot describe the incredible, enriching, yet humbling experience that this journey has been, and I hope you enjoy learning about it! |
About the ProgramThe Global Leadership and Team Decision-Making minor is a 15-hour minor that is designed for students who seek to gain greater knowledge and understanding of leadership and team decision-making from a European global perspective. It is a collaboration between the Shelton Leadership Center and NC State European Center in Prague. The coursework is composed of courses grounded in theory, inquiry, and application. I participated in a cohort of 16 students studying under seven professors during a semester abroad in the Czech Republic, Germany, and Austria. I took SLC 250: Critical and Creative Decision-Making prior to the study abroad experience to complete the 15-hr requirement. |
